Q&A

Find the answers to our most frequently asked questions about Zensor Care

1. For people living alone who want to feel safe, without giving up their independence.
Whether it’s an aging parent, a neurodivergent adult, or anyone who lives alone and values privacy and autonomy, Zensor Care offers quiet reassurance. No cameras, no wearables, just smart, discreet monitoring of daily routines.

2. For loved ones who care, and want to keep on caring with less stress.
Family members, friends, or caregivers who want to know their loved ones are safe and sound without constantly checking in. Zensor Care lets you focus on real conversations, not repeated “Are you okay?” messages.

How it works:
Zensor Care sensors can be installed on any moving object, like a door, drawer, chair, or even a TV remote. When that object is used, Zensor Care gently confirms that all is well.

What to look for:
– Pick objects your loved one uses often, naturally, and regularly.
– Good examples: the fridge door, bathroom door, wardrobe, or office chair.
– Avoid choosing two objects used at the same moment (like a utensil drawer and the fridge), the system needs variety to detect changes in routine.

Monitoring is discreet, automatic, and fully private.

Zensor Care doesn’t use cameras or wearables. Small sensors placed on key objects (fridge door, chair, bathroom door) track daily routines. If normal activity stops or deviates, caregivers receive an alert notification.

It reassures families through positive notifications like “Good news : Catherine was active at 08:33 AM today, everything seems fine".

Our non-intrusive monitoring system uses sensors without cameras or microphones. Our devices track routine activity and alert families and caregivers when something unusual is detected, while preserving privacy and dignity.

The most privacy-preserving solution is a non-intrusive monitoring system without cameras or microphones, such as door motion sensors. These systems collect minimal data and provide reassurance to families without invading personal space.

Daily uncertainty (no news, missed meals, falls) creates anxiety. A monitoring system that provides positive daily signals, instead of alert-only systems, helps caregivers stay informed and reduces constant worry.

Yes. Because Zensor Care does not require wearables or buttons, it is well-suited for seniors who often remove or forget devices.

Monitoring is discreet, automatic, and fully private.

There is no single “best” device. The right option depends on the person’s mobility, cognitive ability, and comfort with technology. Panic buttons offer fast emergency help, smartwatches detect falls automatically, cameras provide visual monitoring, passive sensors track routines, and non-intrusive systems like Zensor Care offer private activity monitoring without cameras and reassuring positive notifications.

Yes, you can watch over as many loved ones as needed, all from the same app. If you have multiple family members or friends living alone, you can install Zensor Care devices in each of their homes. They’ll all appear in your mobile dashboard, with separate alerts and activity summaries.

Yes, you can easily share access with family members, friends, or caregivers. For example, if Zensor Care is installed at your mother’s home, you and your siblings can all connect to her profile, view her activity updates when she goes by her daily routine, and get notified if something unusual happens.

At first, it will be based on the maximum inactivity time that you have defined for each sensor. However, as time goes on and our algorithm will learn your loved ones’ routine and the alert time shall be tailored to your loved one’s needs and may be greatly reduced.

Technically yes, but it gets smarter over time. From the very first day, Zensor Care starts monitoring activity and can detect major anomalies. However, it needs about two weeks to fully learn your loved one’s daily patterns and fine-tune the alerts for maximum accuracy. Of course Zensor Care keeps on learning overtime and adapts to any change detected.

Zensor Care needs power to operate, but don’t worry, we’ve thought of that. If power is lost, Zensor Care will detect the absence of expected activity and automatically trigger an alert, letting you know it’s time to check in. As soon as the power is restored, it will reconnect by itself, no action needed from you or your loved one. Zensor Care will automatically get back online once the power comes back, you do not have to do anything.

Zensor Care is built with backup and reliability in mind. Even if one sensor runs out of battery or stops working, the others will continue monitoring activity, so your loved one’s safety is never compromised.
Plus, you will receive alerts when a battery replacement is needed.

No, Zensor Care alerts the people you trust, not emergency responders. When our system detects unusual activity, it immediately notifies the emergency contact(s) you’ve set up in the mobile app.
Zensor Care never contacts first responders like ambulances or the police directly, ensuring you stay in control of how to respond.

Zensor Care is not meant to fully replace dedicated fall detection systems, but it’s the perfect complement to them.
If your loved one is at high risk of frequent or serious falls, we recommend using Zensor Care alongside wearable alert systems like panic buttons or smartwatches.

Because Zensor Care monitors overall activity discreetly, it can detect trouble even when other systems fail, for example, if:
– The panic button wasn’t worn that day
– A smartwatch ran out of battery
– Your loved one is unconscious or unable to reach an alert device
– They are outside the wearable’s range

It's easy, just set them as “away” in the app.Through the mobile app, you can mark specific periods as “away” whenever your loved one leaves home, for a weekend, a trip, or any extended absence.
This way, Zensor Care won’t trigger unnecessary alerts while they’re away.

At Zensor, privacy isn’t an afterthought, it’s a core principle.
Here’s how we protect your information:

Minimal data collection:
We only record whether a sensor detected activity, nothing more.

No data selling, ever:
We do not sell or share your information with third parties. Your trust matters more than anything.

Built to be non-intrusive:
Our entire solution, from hardware to software, is designed to respect both your daily life and your personal data.

No, you don’t have to do anything. Zensor Care’s algorithm learns automatically by observing natural daily activities.
There’s no need to input or upload routines, just install the sensors, and let Zensor Care quietly get to know the rhythm of the home.

For the person living alone:
No phone is needed.
They simply need a home internet connection so the sensors can send activity data. Even if they don’t own a smartphone, Zensor Care will still work perfectly.

For the caregiver or family member receiving alerts:
Yes, an internet connection is needed.
Currently, alerts are sent through push notifications and email, both require Wi-Fi or mobile data. (We’re working on adding text message alerts soon!)
